Evan the corgi/Great Pyrenees needs a Georgia foster home
UPDATE: EVAN HAS FOUND A FOSTER HOME AND IS ON HIS WAY TO SAFETY. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR CONCERN.
Meet Evan the corgi/Great Pyrenees. That’s a combo you don’t see every day. Evan is currently in the pound in Jasper Georgia. The shelter has asked us to take him, but we do not have a presence in Georgia. If someone is willing to foster and save this sweet little guy, we’ll bring him into rescue. If you are interested in fostering Evan, please email Sabrina@bigfluffydogs.com. His time is up on Friday, March 4.
Ridiculous cuteness: Daisy the Siberian husky puppy
Meet Daisy. She is one of 5 puppies who were major surprises when they arrived as we had no idea their Mom was expecting. Daisy is now 6 weeks old and she and her four siblings need foster homes. They are currently in the middle TN area.
Surprise! Emma had puppies tonight
Tina was out of the house today running errands. She came home and found Mom in labor and five puppies. This dog came to us from another shelter and was slated for spay tomorrow, so we had no idea she was expecting. So far, 3 girls, 2 boys.
Brad the senior beagle mix needs rescue
UPDATE: BRAD HAS FOUND A FOSTER HOME AND IS HEADING TO RESCUE. THANK YOU ALL FOR WORKING TO SAVE HIM.
This is an honorary big fluffy dog that needs saving right now. The wonderful people at American Black and Tan Coonhound Rescue are desperately looking for a foster to save this poor dog’s life. Brad is a sweet, 10 year old boy on very short time at the Altoona PA shelter. If you can help foster this boy for Coonhound Rescue and you are in the Altoona PA area, please contact Dawn at dlkend@aol.com. This dog has very little time left before he will be euthanized at the shelter.
Maggie needs a foster or a home
Meet Maggie. Maggie is a 2 year old female Great Pyrenees/golden retriever. She is a big, 100 pound fluffy girl and she loves to play with other dogs who like to play. She would be best in a home where she will not be challenged by a dominant dog, but she generally loves other dogs, especially the boys. Leave us a comment if you’re interested in her or click on the How Do I Adopt page for details on the process.
Ridiculous cuteness: Katie the pyr mix puppy
It just does not get much more adorable. 14 weeks of puppy cuteness.
Buddy and Nanna need a foster home in New England
Meet Buddy and Nanna. This is a pair of owner surrender dogs whose owners could no longer care for them.
Nanna is a 2 year old female Great Pyrenees. She is on the small side at 70 pounds. She is easy going, well-mannered and friendly. She is good with other dogs and cats.
Buddy is a 2 year old white shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 60 pounds and is bouncy, friendly and social. He gets along well with everyone and everything.
If you can foster these two, please email Liz at liz@bigfluffydogs.com.
Duke needs a foster home in New England
Meet Duke. Duke is a not quite one-year old blue merle male Great Dane. He is a big, goofy, bouncy sweetheart of a giant puppy. Duke has been fine with small dogs and dogs in general. We are not sure about cats. Duke is housebroken, walks tolerably well on a leash and knows his basic commands already. He needs a home who can manage a giant dog who wants to lean on you and who still hopes he might fit on your lap. He gives excellent puppy kisses to people he likes, which is pretty much everyone. If you can help foster this guy, please email Liz at liz@bigfluffydogs.com.
Ridiculous cuteness: Arthur and Abigail
Some things are just too adorable for words.
Sarge needs our help
If it weren’t for bad luck, poor Sarge would have no luck at all. Sarge was abandoned next to a truck stop in Tennessee. When a good Samaritan attempted to untie him from the tree where he had been left, Sarge bolted straight into traffic and shattered his leg. Multiple surgeries and several casts later, Sarge now has a serious infection that has developed and there is no hope of saving his leg. We are working feverishly to save his life at this point. Sarge is the happiest, goofiest boy in the world. Even in amazingly severe pain, he is a love. His foster Mom is an amazing soul and she has done everything she can to help him, but an amputation is inevitable and immediately in his future. The estimated cost of his surgery, including the specialized antibiotics he needs along with his current hospitalization costs total more than $2200. If you would like to donate, you can donate here: http://bigfluffydogs.chipin.com/sarge-needs-an-amputation. Thanks as always from the big fluffies of the world.
Forrest needs help
Forrest is a 14 week old Great Dane mix puppy. He is active, sweet and friendly. Sadly, Forrest has suffered from an overdose of medication prescribed to him and has been hospitalized as a result and he is suffering from severe neurological issues, and is unable to walk. We have taken Forrest back from his adopters and we now have a vet bill of $2500 and climbing to cover. The vet believes he will recover. We do not think this was an intentional poisoning, but we are strongly convinced there was negligence involved. If you would like to donate, you can do so here: http://bigfluffydogs.chipin.com/forrest.
