Buster, 2005-2011
Buster came to us a week ago. He was matted so badly he could not move his legs freely. Buster was groomed and cared for by the great people at Pampered Pets in Nashville who made him as comfortable and happy as he could be. However, by yesterday, Buster could not walk or stand and we took him back to the vet for a series of xrays and tests. Sadly, Buster suffered a massive stroke this morning and we had to say goodbye. Buster did not know a life of great comfort and companionship, but he had one week where he was the center of everyone’s universe. Buster got his day in the sun in the cool green grass on a sunny spring morning with the birds singing and the wind ruffling his fur. For that we are grateful, but it’s not enough. Until every dog gets that day in the sun, we will continue our work. God speed, Buster.

Thank you for all you do. Buster now knows what it feels like to be loved.
