Luna the Great Dane mix needs a foster home
Meet Luna, a not quite 3 year old female Great Dane mix. Luna is an amazing dog and would already have found her forever home but for one small thing: Luna has a mild case of heartworms. Ordinarily, this would not be a big deal and we would have treated her and sent her on her merry way long ago. However, the idiots
, crooks, unfeeling pharmaceutical companies company that manufacturers the medicine approved to treat heartworms managed to get shut down by the FDA and now no one can treat a dog quickly anymore. This means dogs can’t go to homes and they languish in kennels. This is not a good thing.
Luna is a very good girl, she is very healthy and she needs a foster home. She is wonderful with children and she is good with other dogs that don’t try to boss her around. She is being treated with an antibiotic and she gets a pill a day. That’s it. This disease is not contagious in the classic sense and if your dogs are on Heartgard, they are not at risk of getting the disease. She is getting sad because she has no home and it will be a while before she does. If you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt this dog, please email email@example.com. We supply the medicines and you supply the love.
