A dog blog for dogs in need

How can I foster a dog in need?

Many times, we are looking for help to save dogs from certain death in a shelter. Foster homes are the single most important element to any rescue. Without foster homes, we can’t rescue dogs. If you are interested in fostering a dog, please fill out our foster application here.

There is a foster contract here.

Rescue pays for any and all medical costs for the dog. We ask that fosters call us first before seeking vet treatment for anything other than an emergency situation as some vets are more merciful than others when it comes to cost. Fosters always get first dibs on the dog if they fall in love. We also want our foster homes to have input into picking the right home for the dog. We value what you have to say.

I would like to try my hand at being a foster Mom. Our dog and cat both died a few years ago and we are somewhat “empty nesters”…so plenty of room and attention to offer.

I would gladly take Coach if that would help him out and if he is available…I heard about you from a friend from Scituate MA on the So. Shore. I live in North Central Ma and am currently not employed outside my home, which allows me time too..

Look forward to hearing from you…Keep up the great work…enjoy! Lynn

If you ever pull dogs around Louisville, Kentucky and need a short-term foster until they can be transported then please let me know. I foster for the local shelter here and do orthopedic fosters that require crate-rest, but can only do short-term or crate-rest fosters because my own rescue dog is dog-aggressive. It becomes problematic to have to keep dogs completely separate from each other long-term as you can imagine. I get your messages on facebook and have donated to your organization before, but it appears you don’t operate here at all. If you do, please keep me in mind.
