Ridiculous cuteness: Michaela is looking for a home
Meet Michaela, an 11-week-old lab/border collie/something smaller mix. We think there may be some parsons russell terrier in there as her brother has a startling resemblance to an oversized parsons terrier, although it is equally possible her Mom was kind of a tramp and they have different Dads. Michaela is solid white except for one small splash of tan on her face. She is very calm, sweet and social and she is good with kids, cats and dogs. We do not think she will be all that large as she weighs around 12 pounds now and we expect her to be around 45-50 as an adult dog. Michaela is in New England and if you are interested in adopting her, please email elizabeth@bigfluffydogs.com.
Jean Claude van Dog is looking for a home
Jean Claude van Dog came to us in May of this year as a completely emaciated shell of himself. We honestly had no idea what breed he was because he was all bone and his face had more hollows than Kate Moss on a diet. Despite the fact that he was neither big nor fluffy, we brought him in as every dog has value and this one needed us.
After months of treatment for skin infections, parasites and emaciation, Jean Claude is ready to go. He is happy and exuberant and he loves to play. At 40 pounds, he is a nice medium-sized dog. He is perfectly crate-trained and has good indoor manners. He is fine with kids and he gets along well with dogs that don’t mind being around a bouncy dog. We think he would chase cats so we suggest a no-cat home. Given his size, body and head shape and general disposition, we think what we have here is a terrier/border collie x, so he will need a home that wants a jogging companion as he needs exercise and lots of it. This is a very sweet, very cuddly boy for the right, active home. If you are interested in Jean Claude, please email jean@bigfluffydogs.com.
Ridiculous cuteness: Emmaline, Evan and Eric
Meet the trio of the terribly cute puppies known collectively as the “E Puppies” . They will wag their tails, beg for petting, lick your face, nibble on your toes and fall over asleep mid-stride. These are puppies of unknown ancestry (lab border collies would be a good guess) and they are unbelievably adorable. They’ll be looking to go home in a few weeks.
Dallas the border collie/Great Pyrenees is ready for his home
align=”alignnone” width=”300″ caption=”Dallas is ready for his forever home”]
[/caption]
Meet Dallas. Dallas is a 3-year-old male border collie/Great Pyrenees who came to us after a neighbor intervened to save his life. Dallas spent his entire life chained to a dog house until he was rescued. This sweet boy loves people, other dogs and pretty much everyone and everything. He is rapidly learning how to be a good inside boy and that counters are not places he should look for food. Dallas has been shaved down for the summer, but he will be mega-fluffy once it grows back in. He is not massive at 70 pounds. This is a playful, happy dog. He is available in New England.

Meet Floyd and Zoe. These adorable little border collie/Great Pyrenees puppies are just shy of 13 weeks old now and weigh in at an impressive 35 pounds. These will be big dogs as adults and they are smart, lazy and friendly dogs. They are now up for adoption in New England. If you’re interested, email elizabeth@bigfluffydogs.com.
Bailey the border collie/lab is ready to go home now
Bailey is a 2 year old male border collie/lab mix who is absolutely wonderful. Bailey is a typical border collie – active, smart and devoted to his people. Did we mention that he is smart? This dog needs to go to a home who loves border collies and understands the breed. This is not a dog for a family with very small children unless you want them herded in to the corner. Bailey is good with other dogs. He would love to go to a home with an active family that likes to go for hikes and swimming at the beach. This is an amazingly smart, happy dog who just happens to practice sad looks in the mirror. Bailey is in New England.
Ridiculous cuteness: Oscar needs a home
Meet Oscar. Oscar is a 12 week old border collie mix puppy that some jerk literally threw in a dumpster. One good Samaritan brought him to us and he is a happy, healthy puppy now looking for his forever home. This puppy is perfectly wonderful and is social, active and outgoing. This is a perfect family dog for someone who wants a smart, active medium-sized dog. If you are interested, leave a comment or email elizabeth@bigfluffydogs.com.
Jared is looking for a foster or forever home
Meet Jared, a 10-12 week old border collie/Great Pyrenees mix puppy. What can we say? He’s adorable. He is looking for a forever home in New England, but he needs a foster home for now. If you are interested, please email elizabeth@bigfluffydogs.com.
Lola needs a foster or forever home in New England
Lola is a 7 month old border collie mix. She has some Pyrenees in her ancestry, but it’s at least two generations back. This little girl will never weigh more than 45 pounds and she is a bit of a waif. Lola is friendly, active and happy. She is good with everyone and everything. She is a quick study and such a lovebug. If you are interested, email elizabeth@bigfluffydogs.com.
Ridiculous cuteness: Waylon, the poodle/border collie/Great Pyrenees puppy
Here’s one you won’t see everyday. This puppy is 11 weeks old. He is a poodle/Great Pyrenees/border collie/? mix. He has mega fluffy curly ears, medium body fur, fat paws, a stumpy tail, and a playful, outgoing dispostion. We’d like to claim we know how big he’ll be when he grows up, but with that ancestry, we think it’s anyone’s guess. What we do know is that he is adorable, sweet, feisty and smart. He will be a great fit for a family who wants a smart, active dog to go hiking with.
Thurston needs a foster home
Meet Thurston, a 2 year old male border collie/Great Pyrenees mix. This poor boy was abandoned in a very questionable neighborhood and had been on his own for some time when he was rescued. Sadly,Thurston had been mauled by another dog and his poor face required surgery to fix the infection and remove the bone fragments from his damaged sinus cavity. Despite his ordeal, this boy is a very friendly, very sweet and quiet dog who loves to get petted and go for a walk. This dog needs a low chaos home and he still has heartworm treatment to go. This boy is in Nashville and if you can help foster him, please let us know. We are out of special needs foster homes and there must be someone out there who will love him. For anyone who wants to contribute, we have started a chipin for him for his heartworm treatment here: http://bigfluffydogs.chipin.com/thurston
Bailey the border collie mix needs a home in New England

Bailey needs a home of his own
Bailey came to us in the most random of ways, but he is here and ready for a home. Bailey is about 3 years old and is a male border collie mix, probably with lab given his body shape and size. Bailey adores people and kids. He needs to be an only dog because he does not share well, but he is whip smart, eager to please and would be absolutely perfect for someone that wants an easily trainable, devoted, 55 pound companion. This is an awesome dog. If you are interested in meeting him, let us know. Bailey has been in boarding for a week and needs a home.
